Spoken Word Videos

My friend Paul Faulkner does spoken word videos, and I've filmed and edited a number of them over the years. It's been great working with him on videos that provoke discussion and challenge the church on important topics.

I've worked on several of his videos:

Black — I edited this spoken word piece on the Black-British experience, an honest and challenging poem about race in the UK.

Sixty Years Later — I filmed and edited this video where Paul unpacks the complexity of being "equal parts black and British", beginning with his grandfather's arrival 60 years ago and looking forward to a loving, diverse church.

Pete — I filmed and edited this Easter video about Peter's story—when he was reunited with Jesus after denying him three times, expecting retribution but receiving forgiveness instead.

Face to Face — We did this one during COVID, when we couldn't actually be near each other. We were allowed to be in eachother's gardens so we managed to make it work.
